What Matters to Us!
Infrastructure: Committed to building a stronger, more connected future through bold investments in our infrastructure. Imagine families driving on safe, well-maintained highways, free from the frustration of crumbling pavement or endless traffic jams. My plan prioritizes smart, sustainable infrastructure that respects our Texas values—freedom, opportunity, and resilience. I will work to secure federal funding to repair aging bridges, roads, and railways to ease congestion without burdening taxpayers and their families. Together, we’ll rebuild an infrastructure that doesn’t just meet today’s needs but paves the way for a prosperous tomorrow.
Building Resilience in our Seniors: The soaring costs of elder care—often exceeding $10,000 a month for nursing homes or thousands for in-home support—are placing an unsustainable burden on hardworking families and Retirees. Too many seniors are forced to deplete their savings, sell family homes, or juggle overwhelming responsibilities to provide for their aging loved ones. This is not the American way! Our seniors, who have worked hard and built our communities, deserve better, and families shouldn’t face financial hardship to ensure their care. My resolve to address the elder care crisis comes from a deep commitment to family values and personal responsibility. The current system, heavily relies on government programs like Medicaid that often kick in only after families are financially drained and fails our middle-class households. Caregiving, which often falls on women, can disrupt careers and strain family resources. We need practical solutions that empower families, not burden them further. As your Representative, I will champion policies that reduce the cost of senior care through market-based reforms, promote affordable in-home care options, and provide tax relief for family caregivers. I’ll work to cut bureaucratic red tape and encourage innovative, community-driven solutions that honor our seniors’ contributions while supporting families. As partners, we can build a stronger, more self-reliant community where our elders age with dignity and families are supported in their caregiving journey.
Small Business Growth & Development: Small businesses are the backbone of our economy, driving innovation, creating jobs, and strengthening the fabric of our neighborhoods. However, excessive regulations, high taxes, and bureaucratic red tape often stifle their growth. My priorities are rooted in conservative principles of limited government, free markets, and opportunity for all, ensuring our district remains a hub of prosperity. As your Representative, I will work to implement policies that elevate small business owners, create jobs, and promote responsible development that preserves the unique spirit of District 37.
Veterans & First Responders: Our First Responders and Veterans in Texas’ 37th Congressional District face significant challenges that demand urgent action. Firefighters, Police Officers, and EMTs in Austin, Pflugerville, and across Travis and Williamson Counties grapple with underfunded departments and rising mental health stressors due to increasing demands in our rapidly growing region. Veterans, meanwhile, often encounter a sluggish VA system with long wait times for healthcare and inadequate support for transitioning to civilian life, leaving many struggling to find stable employment or access to mental health care. These heroes, who sacrifice so much for our safety and freedom, are too often underserved by bureaucratic inefficiencies and insufficient resources, threatening their well-being and our community’s strength. As your next Representative, I am committed to overcoming these challenges with practical solutions that honor our First Responders and Veterans. I will work to increase federal grants to equip our First Responders with cutting-edge tools, advanced training, and robust mental health programs to address the toll of their demanding roles. For Veterans, I will push to streamline the VA, reduce healthcare wait times, and expand job training and entrepreneurship programs through public-private partnerships, leveraging Austin’s vibrant economy to create opportunities. By cutting red tape, prioritizing funding, and fostering community respect for our heroes, we can ensure District 37 supports those who serve us, building a stronger, safer future for all.
